Domestic and International multi-tiered program management – Riemer Associates partnered with CB Richard Ellis on a domestic and international Bank of America transition team associated with the Merrill Lynch acquisition. Domestically, our project managers supported the Bank’s re-branding of internal business units Banc of America Investment Services and Premier Banking to Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Our scope included managing the activity of a sign fabrication partner in completing the tactical re-branding, punch list completion and financial close-out of over 100 sites in Southern California and Arizona. Moreover, Riemer Associates is currently responsible for delivering multiple legacy BOA and legacy Merrill Lynch projects in 11 countries in the APAC region.
Project assessment, development, and tactical management – Riemer Associates established a team including environmental graphic design expert Joe Labozan and the highly respected Philadelphia Sign Company and then planned and directed the redesign of Sovereign Bank’s exterior sign program. The scope included the redesign of their exterior sign signature and then the eventual redesign and engineering of an entirely new exterior sign family for the Bank. The project scope was then extended to include the development of sign recommendation books and the tactical re-branding of multiple Sovereign high priority sites in Boston, New York and Philadelphia. At that point, the Bank internalized the program by establishing internal resources that began implementing the program at all new retail branches across the Northeast.
Risk assessment, management, and mitigation – Riemer Associates partnered with Jones Lang La Salle to establish and then direct a cross-functional project team that successfully completed the worldwide implementation of a new corporate identity for FleetBoston Financial. Client risk was minimized through pro-active management, aggressive cross-functional planning and communication and proven processes and reporting tools. The program included external and internal signs at 3,600 facilities in 38 states and 6 countries, all merchandising hardware and software at 3,200 branch and remote ATM locations, the Web site and Intranet, business forms and stationery and all high profile corporate sponsorships like Fenway Park, the Massachusetts Turnpike, Yankee Stadium and Times Square. The tactical implementation plan rolled-out in 16 separate phases over 2 years. The program was completed on time and 20% below the Bank set budget.
Process problem solving and troubleshooting - Riemer Associates organized and then drove the tactical implementation of a name change at the Fleet Center, a major entertainment and sports venue in Boston. The program included over 1,000 different elements both inside and outside the building that were planned and changed around the in-season schedules of two major league sports franchises. With its increased visibility, the arena became a prominent city landmark that was featured in local and national sports, news, weather and traffic reports on a regular basis.
M & A strategic and tactical planning – Riemer Associates partnered with Trammell Crow Corporation and participated on a team that represented Bank of America’s Brand, Consumer Banking and Corporate Workplace groups during its acquisition of MBNA Corporation. Our scope included the review, adjustment and final approval of brand recommendation books for over 500 corporate properties, managing multiple sign fabrication partners in completing the tactical re-branding, restoration and financial close-out of 200 facilities.
Marketing support, product development, and corporate communications – Riemer Associates has worked hand-in-hand with world renowned design firms to conceptualize and finalize branded program components, identify and choose appropriate fabrication/installation partners, develop external site and internal floor plans for retail and corporate offices and managed multiple team partners to deliver on time and under budget. We have also supported, marketing, brand and branch partners in developing appropriate marketing sales collateral, internal and external communications and training programs aimed at gaining full employee understanding and acceptance of programs.
